Utrecht, 30.10.2023 – Implementation partner KPS looks together with the Dutch omnichannel retailer Kruidvat on a successful go-live of the Kruidvat Marketplace: With the support of KPS, the discount drugstore instantly expands its baby category assortment from 750 to 3,000 items. This move solidifies Kruidvat’s position as an omnichannel retailer, aiming to become a genuine ‘one-stop-shop,’ with parents as the initial target audience.
Complementary range of products online and offline
With almost 1,000 stores in the Netherlands and millions of website visitors per week, Kruidvat is one of the most famous Retailers in Holland. Kruidvat is now kicking off its Marketplace offer with the baby category.

To complement the existing range of products in shops and online in a meaningful way, Kruidvat chose the Mirakl platform, a leading solution in the marketplace sector.
“In order to add value to the successful collection already in the shops and online, the offer on Kruidvat Marketplace is complementary. “We do not wish to compete with our existing range”, continues Van den Berg. “This is also clear in our choice of suppliers. The new range increases our total baby collection from 750 to as many as 3000 products. Including, for example, car seats, baby monitors, travel cots, pushchairs, etc. A whole range of products that were not previously in our standard collection, but for which young parents can now also shop at Kruidvat.”

The baby category is only the first step. In the coming period, Kruidvat Marketplace will also be extended to other categories. In the Marketplace, suppliers are carefully selected to ensure that quality and service meet customer expectations. These suppliers benefit from Kruidvat’s strong market position and have access to almost 3 million weekly online visitors.
Kruidvat Marketplace stands out for its ‘curated’ collection. Roland van den Berg assures: “Together, we ensure that Kruidvat Marketplace customers receive the service they are used to. Price, quality, and discount are and will remain the basis of our customer promise, and this also applies to Kruidvat Marketplace.”
