Munich, May 11, 2017. KPS is continually climbing in the e-commerce ranking of the sector association “Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft” (BDVW), moving to 8th place in this year’s ranking.
This is a very pleasing outcome in view of the intense competition for top places, especially since the sector’s top 10 firms posted the strongest revenue growth whereas medium-sized and smaller agencies lost revenue shares. The German full-service internet agencies increased their revenues by 18% overall in the 2016 financial year, once again exceeding the previous year’s revenue growth. The sector therefore generates revenues of just under € 1.7 billion. E-commerce in particular represents a major growth driver.
The “Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft” (BVDW) e.V. ranking is the barometer of the German internet agency sector and is compiled annually together with its partners "HighText iBusiness", "Horizont" and "werben & verkaufen".
It was determined on the basis of the fee revenues in the 2016 financial year and therefore documents the agencies generating the highest revenues in the digital economy. To ensure data quality, the information provided by the 50 largest companies is certified by an auditor or tax consultant. The ranking also constitutes a sector barometer for the interactive economy and confirms that the digital transformation remains the key growth driver in the sector.
