London, UK/Munich, Germany, November 3, 2020. - Since the beginning of the global pandemic, Brakes, a British catering company, has been supplying end consumers with food and other essential daily necessities. Previously Brakes was a purely B2B company. With lockdown closing down the hospitality industry, Brakes reacted quickly and decisively: In just 7 days, the company converted its business model with the help of KPS and not only put a new B2C website live, but also adapted its business processes so that end customers could be supplied. Now KPS has been recognized for this outstanding achievement at the Stevie International Business Awards. The "Most Valuable Service" category recognizes consumer services developed since the beginning of 2020 to counteract the effects of COVID-19.
Maggie Gallagher, President of the Stevie Awards, expressed her gratitude and was impressed:
“Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organisations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year’s International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organisations. The commitment we’ve seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive.”
Barnaby Moffat, Managing Director at KPS, is delighted with the recognition:
“To be recognised as an award winner for most valuable service within the COVID – 19 response category is a real privilege. We’re delighted with this achievement and honoured that we were able to help Brakes - and shoppers - during such difficult times. The rapid speed in which we were able to get the direct to consumer site up for Brakes, is testament to the dedication of each and every member of the KPS team – we couldn’t be more proud of them.”
