Skills, experience and competencies

  • Sales background, ideally in complex projects sales. You will need to find out what the challenges are and make suggestions where KPS can help, whilst getting prospects excited about the possibilities of how we can help them 
  • Experience in selling client-focused solutions based on end-customer needs; taking complex solutions and being able to talk about them in a simple, results-focused way
  • Excellent listening and verbal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level – you will be spending a lot of time talking, on the phone or face to face at events, to initiate relationships 
  • Excellent written communication skills to create content that will engage prospects and motivate them to talk to you. Fluency in English is essential
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity, able to take these initial conversations and be the face of KPS until an opportunity presents itself
  • Ability to be able to validate leads and be confident they are a good use of our sales team’s time to progress, including inbound leads where the tech and contacts are unknown
  • The hunger and energy to secure new work, recognising that even small opportunities in the right conditions can lead to much larger ones
  • Driven by the thrill of detecting, maturing and acquiring new leads at large/mid-size companies and hitting pipeline targets that ensure we will hit our sales and revenue targets
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, to know when to get support from the rest of the team to jump on a lead and turn it into something exciting
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales/new business team, ideally in a similar role
  • Organised and able to prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Deep digital understanding, ideally including SAP products
  • Autonomous, self-motivated and creative, able to thrive in a results-driven environment – this role will be challenging and you will have to think on your feet, but it will also be very rewarding
  • Highly personable and collaborative – a true team player
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A quick learner who is open to feedback to ensure we are continuously improving our approach to prospects and ability to nurture leads into opportunities
  • Strong work ethic and excellent time and project management skills
  • Within commutable distance of our office in Wimbledon
