The Renaissance of Standard Software

Individualisation of standard software: focused individualisation is key to success

Munich, 15 September 2021

Heavy customisation and modification of standard software or deveoping applications in-house were long considered the right approach by many companies. But this trend has changed fundamentally: A too high degree of customisation runs the risk of not being able to precisely address the current requirements of digitalisation. Companies are therefore increasingly reverting back to the standard processes in the standard software again and only individualise them where it really makes sense - that is the right approach now. KPS has reacted to the changing demands of the market with a new solution: At the core of it is a composable SAP S/4HANA platform on which 80 percent of the most important processes are already implemented in the standard and the associated use cases are visually available and documented. Future users can therefore experience their new end-to-end processes hands-on in the system, even before the project starts.
