"KPS plays an important role in helping deliver our e-commerce platforms, understanding our customers and developing, optimising and unifying their experience by helping us achieve a 360 view across channels"Adelaide Meal Head of Digital Data Innovation & Architecture, Saint Gobain
The new e-commerce site, developed on SAP Commerce Cloud, has seen double the number of page views compared to the previous site, and a whopping 185% increase in account openings by tradespeople across Great Britain since the new site launch.
Great for the customer, it was a tricky challenge for the KPS/Jewson team, as stock availability depends on the availability at the local branch the customer wants to collect from. Transacting on one national website with localised e-commerce set up for over 3,000 products across 500 branches in the UK, from the Scottish Isles to Penzance, Jewson is a key Saint-Gobain brand.
The launch of the new site has brought Jewson some fantastic results already, with site visits increasing by 57% and page views by 93%.

Gibbs and Dandy, the builders’ merchant specialising in timber, bricks, landscaping and two times winner of the National Builders Merchant of the Year, has made the leap to digital and joined Jewson, as the second of five Saint-Gobain brands to break into e-commerce using SAP Commerce Cloud.
A brand that is very much “bricks and mortar”, who traditionally relied on their 27 physical stores, now offers Click & Collect and delivery options, both for tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts. Gibbs and Dandy have tapped into B2C, a new revenue stream, and by using Trade Accounts, guarantees their catalogue of tradespeople can continue to order with discount.
As the second e-commerce brand onto this platform, Saint-Gobain has begun to simplify the customer’s journey between brands, integrating with Okta, a single sign-on enabler, giving customers the option to browse between their brands using one log-in.
Working closely with the Saint Gobain team, we launched the brand new site as the second brand in an extensive deployment plan, which will unite 5 Saint Gobain brands onto SAP CCv2 platform, rolling out their individual e-commerce sites over the course of a couple of months.
This is a great step forward for the Minster business as we seek to deliver a number of digitally enhanced solutions for our many different customer types.Alex Davis Commercial Business Development Director for the brand
Minster, the national UK trade only insulation and dry lining distributor, is the third e-commerce brand from Saint-Gobain to join SAP Commerce Cloud, after the recent migration of its sister companies, Jewson and Gibbs and Dandy.
A brand new e-commerce venture, Minster’s former site acted as a product catalogue with the capability for account users to create product lists, which would then get sent to the customer service teams for quotes. Guests of the site are able to browse products as before, but pricing is only shown when logged into a validated trade account.
The new Minster SAP powered website enables customers to buy online, see personalised terms, check stock availability, build product lists, pay on account or by card and choose from click and collect or click and deliver. Customers of Minster, Jewson and Gibbs and Dandy are able to easily shop between all three retailers, thanks to an integration with Okta, the single sign-on enabler.

"This is a great step forward for the Jewson Civils Frazer business as we seek to deliver a number of digitally enhanced solutions for our many different customer types."Alex Davis Commercial Business Development Director for the brand
The civils, infrastructure and utilities products and solutions provider is part of the Saint-Gobain family. Jewson Civils Frazer was formed in 2019 through the merger of dedicated civils distributor, Jewson Civils, and the specialist utilities distributor, Frazer.
The site enables customers to buy online, see personalised terms, check stock availability, build product lists, pay on account or by card and choose from click and collect or click and deliver. They joined the Saint-Gobain’s pre-existing SAP Commerce Cloud platform alongside Minster, Gibbs and Dandy and Jewson.
As with its sister company, Minster, only customers with a linked trade account are able to purchase through the website, all other users will be directed to contact a branch to place an order.

This is a major step forward for us in terms of our processes. This online ordering facility will allow our customers to spend less time in branch in the current climate, while in the long-term, providing them with greater flexibility to choose how they want to do business with us.Alice Robinson Digital Marketing Manager at Graham
Graham, the plumbers’ merchant, geared towards plumbing, heating, bathroom and more recently, smart technology solutions, has joined Saint-Gobain’s SAP Commerce Cloud platform. With its former site acting as a product catalogue, only allowing customers to build wishlists and locate stores, the launch of their new SAP Commerce Cloud-powered site has opened them up to the world of e-commerce.
Currently listing thousands of items, across 100 product ranges, Graham’s shiny new site allows users to apply for either cash or credit accounts online, shows personalised trade prices and links to their E-billing portal with Swiss Post.
With other features such as stock checker and VAT pricing facet, Click & Collect and delivery options as well as a whole range of payment options, Graham joins the ever-growing list of brands from Saint Gobain to join SAP Commerce Cloud.

It will also make their visits more efficient, as orders can be ready to go when they walk into branch if they do not have time to stop and chat. We hope the new and improved Graham Direct will provide our customers with all the tools they need to shop how and when they want to, whilst also being able to easily manage their admin too.Alice Robinson Digital Marketing Manager at Graham
