Grundfos has made a name for itself internationally as a leading manufacturer of pumps. The most important product groups include circulation pumps, submersible pumps and positive displacement pumps. In these segments, Grundfos has a global market share of 50 percent. The product portfolio also includes electric motors and electronic control systems for pumps. Founded in Denmark in 1945, the family-owned company produces around 16 million pumps per year and provides its products and services in more than 50 countries. The group employs around 19,000 people worldwide.

As a result, the company has to master a high number of travel bookings, expense reports and other receipts. To optimize the processes around business travel management and to relieve the employees accordingly, the pump manufacturer decided to deploy SAP Concur worldwide.

This means that expenses and other expenditures during business trips can be managed conveniently and consistently. Nevertheless, the stakeholders faced significant challenges during the implementation: No sooner had the project started when the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic started including a longer SAP freeze period. The need for efficient, automated and reliable travel and expense processes was already there before COVID 19, but the pandemic increased the urgency of digitizing these processes even more. 

Grundfos and KPS adapted to the challenges and developed a global solution and rolled it out successfully in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Poland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Belgium, Netherland, Finland, Hungary, South Korea, Malaysia & Thailand. The plan is now to expand SAP Concur to all 60 countries.

Post Implementation Services

Valuable service support even beyond implementation

KPS accompanied Grundfos during implementation and ongoing operation with a comprehensive package of accelerators, the so-called KPS Post-Implementation Services. Thanks to the good relationships built up during the implementation phase, the KPS consultants also provide valuable support afterwards with well-thought-out business management services.
